How To Live Off The Grid - By Building Solar & Wind Options

Posted by Sylvia Dickens on May 22nd, 2009

The power grid is coming down… a bit at a time. You can wait until it happens in your area, or you can switch to your own house renewable energy system and live off the grid.

Does that intimidate you?

Here’s the thing. Homes are being built and modified today so that they are self-sustaining. In other words, they have their own power generating systems. There’s no reason you can’t do the same with your home… and at a fraction of the cost.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with this topic, this means that you install solar panels and/or wind mills to generate your own power. That way, you can live off the grid that is breaking down a bit at a time.

It’s really not that difficult to build your own home power generating system. In fact, I just found a product that tells you exactly how to do that, quickly, safely, effectively and for less than $200.

By switching to off the grid living, you save the environment and yourself. Having your own system means you no longer rely on the grid and save a substantial amount of money every month. Over a year, that really adds up.

Home Made Energy is a guide written by an expert who tells you:

  • how to build a wind turbine for home use
  • how to make solar power
  • build your own solar panel
  • how to make wind power
  • how to build a homemade wind turbine
  • how to live off grid power
  • all about solar electricity
  • about renewable wind energy
  • about green energy sources

Basically, everything you need to know to become energy independent.

If you’ve lived through a power blackout as I have, you will be anxious to find your own personal solution so that you won’t be a victim next time it happens. You can read my review on my How To Live Off The Grid page.

Article Editing Has Never Been Easier - or More Fun!

Posted by Sylvia Dickens on March 20th, 2009

Ok. I just brought this to your attention yesterday, but I’ve since learned more about this product. I’m talking about:

WordFlood 2.0 Article Editing Software

Yesterday, I wasn’t aware there are two versions of this excellent piece of software when I talked about the full free version that you can use indefinitely to edit your articles. While that version has enough features to keep you satisfied, as you progress you might want to upgrade to benefit from a few additional time-saving features.

What’s the difference, you ask?

Basically, in the free version you run your mouse over the highlighted words in your article to see what other word choices you could use. Your options will appear in a small dropdown menu. When you’ve gone through the entire article, you will have created a second article that defeats the duplicate content issue.

This alone is fantastic news. Plus, this is NOT an article spinner. There’s been a lot of talk about those, most of it negative. They produce articles that don’t make sense or are of inferior quality.

With WordFlood, you maintain control of the entire process by changing a few words at a time. It might sound tedious, but actually it can be fun.

Now, you’ll do fine with the free version, but I recommend upgrading to WordFlood 2.0. It provides split screens so you can see alternatives for entire phrases at a time rather than 1-2 word groups. As you work, you can add your own phrases that match your writing style and preferences.

By simply clicking on each of the phrases that appear in your article inside red boxes, you can scan across the top panel to pick and choose what you would like to change.

When I say this software makes editing fun, I’m not exaggerating. As a professional writer, I can tell you that editing can be a lengthy and sometimes tedious process. Sometimes, the right words don’t easily come to mind.

That’s where WordFlood 2.0 shines. It’s like having a little dictionary or thesaurus open while you write, only you don’t have to flip back and forth through such a hefty tome to find alternatives.

What’s more, the program will become increasingly more effective for you as you build your own database of words and synonyms right within the system.

Whether you’re just starting out trying to edit all those PLR articles or are more advances (or paying someone else to do it), you are sure to benefit from this product as I do.

At the very least, go take a look at the short WordFlood 2.0 video that explains it more clearly. It’s a very simple, easy program that you can start using right away. No lengthy or complicated learning curve.

Go see! WordFlood 2.0

And if you’re worried about the price, don’t. This is very affordable. At least for now, the price is set well below $50 but I have no idea whether that will go up or not and Brandon, its creator, hasn’t mentioned it yet either.

Have Fun! :)

Article Marketers - Make Easy Edits With This Fantastic ‘Free’ Program

Posted by Sylvia Dickens on March 19th, 2009

If you slave over editing PLR and other articles, here’s a fantastic piece of software that will help you tremendously.

I just downloaded it and I just can’t believe he’s giving it away - no tricks, no catches, nothing. Just download it from his site and use it.

Here’s what WordFlood does.

You open your article and the software automatically highlights all the words which can easily be replaced with alternative words. When you run your mouse over each set of words, a menu of word options pops up. You can choose from the words provided or add your own.

When you’re done, the software tells you the percent that is different from the original and gives you a new word count.  Then, you can save it in text format.

Working with articles to beat the duplicate content problems with Google couldn’t be easier. You can see a quick demo of how it works on the WordFlood site. Plus, the software has it’s own little Help menu where you can learn more about how to make the most of this software.

Here’s all that the owner asks in return:

PS - If you like WordFlood and find it useful, could you do me a small favor and tell a few others about it? I’d like to keep this version fr~ee, so I rely on my friends to help me get the word out about the program. Thanks!

Go get your own Free copy of WordFlood. No tricks. No Trials. No limited access. No hidden policies. No Adware, Spyware or other undesirable elements. Absolutely nothing. Honest! Go now. You won’t be sorry.

Whether you’re a non-writer or more advanced writer, this will help you.

Just a final quick word…

I am a professional writer yet I still find this program useful. However, it depends on you, your situation, your level of expertise and how you work. It definitely is a Godsend for everyone else, especially if you are paying someone to rewrite your PLR. Imagine the money you’ll save with WordFlood.

Oh. And No. It’s NOT a useless article spinner!

You have nothing to lose. If you don’t like it, you can just delete it, but somehow I don’t think you will. :)

Enjoy!

Sylvia

P.S.: You are sure to enjoy the free version above, but once you get a look at how much fun article editing can be, you might want to upgrade. You’ll be surprised at just how affordable it is. Not $100… Not even $50 to get the added features in WordFlood 2.0.
